Hi, I bought this vase, height is 23 cm. It is unmarked. I think it could be Awaji ware? From what I have seen the flat bottom is a bit uncommon, but I have seen the three spur marks on Awaji pieces. What do you think?
    Thank you very much,
    Mat

I don't know anything about Awaji, but I doubt that stilt marks are an indicator. Any pottery that has stilt marks is likely to have 3.

With that base, I don't think Asian at all, but rather American. Maybe even hobbyist, but dunno for sure.

The vase was bought in France, so I do not think it is American. Of course it was more the overall look that made me think of Awaji. I just meant that I have seen Awaji pieces with 3 stilt marks...

I don't think it is Awaji but don't know what it is.

Thank you all, I will have a look in the Belgian direction... However, I think it is to be placed somewhere into the early 20th century?

I would tend to agree with early 20th century but have no guess as to who. I must compliment you on it though. If I had seen it I definitely would have purchased it. I love the glaze.
