Thoughts on this one please? It's gorgeous glass but I can't decide who made it. Rindskopf?

    Nice, innit. ;)

Ruth, it's an anchor. Birmingham, 1903, and a right bugger to read!

It's like an oil slick. I don't think it's English glass, but hey.

Then I haven't a clue - no idea who made the metalwork. The glass looks Czech.

Thanks all. We imported some lovely Bohemian glass in the early 20th C. I do wonder if it's Loetz, it's got the quality.

The bottom is all wrong for Loetz. Loetz typically have a nicely polished out pontil. There are exceptions to this but usually when the shape makes it impossible to polish out. Here is a link to a page I found that shows a polished out pontil

I notice what appear to be a couple of blemishes/flaws near the top of the vase. That in itself would rule out Loetz.

I have cross posted this to a facebook group. I'll let you know what info I can gather.

@Ownedbybear can I get dimensions as well?

Thank you kindly. Eight inches tall, one and a half at the top, two and a half at the base.

FWIW, if a piece doesn't need to be puntied to finish it, there won't be a scar/ground pontil mark. This piece could be finished without transferring to a punty rod.

Would also think Rindskopf at first look.
