Bronze Cat?

Any ideas or this cat?
My friend just purchased it online auction and we can't find anything about it.
It's 7 inches long, not signed, and has black felt on the bottom. She hasn't received it yet so not sure what's under the felt.
Wondering about when it was made and what kind of metal it might be. Thanks!

I bet you're right. That sure does look like brass.
I'll turn her on to that thread as well. That is the exact cat. Maybe it's a repro of a famous sculpture. Here's hoping!

Thanks for the link. I wish it was that one. I don't think my friends is signed. Would be nice if it turns out to be bronze instead of brass. She still hasn't received it yet. Here's hoping!
