Can anyone help identify this 'G' mark?

I presume this is a Wedgwood imitation because the figures are blurry. However, I can't identify any of the marks and it's bugging me. I've searched online and in my pottery marks books, but I can not find any matches.

If anyone can shed light on what these marks are (or anything of interest) it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

I'm guessing the 1/2 has to do with the size. Some other companies (other then Wedgwood) did jasperware. I'm guessing this is a 1/2 size biscuit jar. The underlined V and the C (G?) I can't help with. I DO like it though.

    Thank you for the replies.

No the lid doesn't not have any markings. Just the base.

So still a mystery then :)

The usual (unmarked) suspects are Dudson, Brownhills and Adams. I'm inclined to Adams on this one. Stick it on the Sprigged Jugs Facebook page, someone will know for sure.
