Featured Carved Gourd Peru "Antique" or New?

    Am ignorant in gordology, but I'm guessing it is post-WWII and likely late 20th C. Am basing this opinion on appearance of the uncarved surface as well as the style of faces on the 4-legged creatures. The faces seem much more like those in animated cartoons or modern kids' books than S.A. Folk art. Is "disneyesque" a real word?

    We have a lot of Peruvians around here, Whovians too but that's another minority, so these sorts of bits turn up regularly.
