Cast Iron Toy 1

I picked up 2 cast iron toys this weekend and I was hoping for help in determining if they are original or repros.

This post is for a horse and buggy with a driver. It measures 8" long, 2-7/8" wide and 4-1/4" tall with the rider in his seat. I am particularly wondering about the faux wheel under the front section of the horse, does the original have a working wheel?

Not the best quality. The other one doesn't look old either. They've been making knockoffs/repos/cheap quality pieces like this for many years. One big giveaway is the gaps where the pieces join together.

Thank you, I thought they were probably repros. I searched eBay but as anyone can list any item as old I do not use it as reference

 

And my response would be the same....if in doubt, ask Mr. Barrett!!! Although the originals are usually of quite nice quality!!
