Copper pot, cauldron, bowl etc... Real/old or fake tourist piece?

    from antique shop in Beccles, Englandfor £40. Was told it was probably dug up. The bright green parts are somewhat easy to remove, but other parts aren't. Anyway what is this, guys? Is it faked to look old? There's very tiny bands of 3 lines running around the pot in a simple pattern

    Shape and size looks like a Lady's spittoon.
    Looks like it might have been through a fire as well as being buried.
    Whether it is legit or not, I'm sorry I can't tell you.

    Hi,
    Back in the 60s, I used to bury copper items in an area that was used by dogs and cats. A few weeks in the ground saturated with urine, they looked like that. I used to "air dry" for several months. Until the nodules would harden and not break off.
