Hmmmm, that's interesting -- under the quotation (words) the initials show
F, (comma) W. B. -- just a proofreading/printing quirk, I suppose. And I notice that "worthwhile" is written as two words ("worth while"), which may well have been common usage back then.

Interesting that the date in the lower corner says 1929, but the one in Roman numerals following the poem is 1927. Different dates for the artwork vs. the poem?

Not much to be found online, but the artwork was used with at least one other motto.

I am pretty sure it is the same person.
Just not sure about the one i have is really 86 years old
If it is, it is in excellent condition.

I think it makes a difference that it has a stamp on the back, as opposed to a hand-written notation. Not worth making a stamp unless you have a fair number of prints.

I don't see any evidence that it's the same person. Not saying it isn't, but everything I can find about him only talks about his significant contributions to panoramic photography, and his teaching at the Rochester Institute of Technology. http://library.rit.edu/findingaids/html/RITArc.0015.html

I also found information on an unrelated F. W. Brehm Company from Sheboygan, Wisconsin that apparently was in the meat-packing business? So that also doesn't seem likely.

Newspaper clipping on the 6th page of this pdf says that in 1929 he started working at Oswego Normal School where he organized a teacher training course in photography. http://www.libraryweb.org/~digitized/scrapbooks/biography_of_men/v_12.pdf

There was a company called Buckbee-Brehm that produced prints including mottos and silhouettes. Have to wonder if there's a connection.

The print that I saw online with the same silhouette has the same motto, but in a different presentation and with a backing that included milkweed silk and pressed flowers. The backing of the print is, however, the same brown kraft as this, though without the stamp. That print had a presentation inscription on the back (nothing to do with FWB) that was dated 1940.

The dates on this could be for the silhouette and the motto and not indicative of the date the print was produced

According to the one listed on ebay it is the same person.
here is part of their description of the item that is way high priced.

Rare 1920's Photography Reverse Glass Silhouette Wall Hanging by FW Brehm Western Landscape Wagon Cows Horses Cowboys Inspirational Poem Milkweed Matte Dried Flowers
This framed art is a VERY rare example of the 1920's photography of Frederick W Brehm. A photography teacher, inventor and creative legend, Brehm is known for his early 1900's panoramic photography which led to his patent of the Cirkut Panorama Camera. His time exposure camera was produced by Rochester Panoramic Camera Company and later by Eastman Kodak which he joined in 1917. He was instrumental in the development of the Department of Photography at the Rochester Athenaeum and Mechanics Institute where he experimented with techniques, equipment and styles. Frederick Brehm taught many aspiring photographers the fundamentals of photography but more so, he instilled in them the love for the creative medium and the possibilities of the technology and equipment.
The photograph used to create this picture was taken by F W Brehm in 1929, just before he began teaching at the institute. The photo was used sometime between 1929 and 1940 to create the wall hanging as it exists today. The back of the picture is marked "Copyright by F.W. Brehm". There is a personal inscription with the date "Christmas 1940".

Yeah, but they probably found the name online the way people did here. That's the F W Brehm to be found online.
