Hi, can anyone please help me to identify my solo corn dish? And the age?

Maybe 1970s or later. Unless you find a boxed set, you won't ever know, and they may have been sold stacked in a dime store.

What they said. I'm not sure why one would want individual plates for corn on the cob, but at least that set went into the dishwasher.

I have a set of plastic ones that I do put in the dishwasher. I like them because they leave room on your plate for other goodies.:happy:

Well, I got this at the estate sale we stopped at months ago. There was a set of 8 (no box) but I only got this one. It "feels" like Federal glass, or glass that is older-vintage like Anchor Hocking, the color is also that of older glass, and the idea of having a corn plate seems much more ancient than the 1970s. It's heavy for its size. Anything's possible. I almost think this could have been a freebie in some detergent box in the 1950s?

Thank you, Peggy, yes that one was the only other one I could find, but I searched a few months ago. I like them on the side too, but I didn't buy the other 7 because they were marked $18.

That was my second guess, after perhaps it was a freebie!

I wouldn't chance putting this into my dishwasher. It has that slightly "oily"(?) feel of older glass that would cloud from a dishwasher. It's thick glass and heavy.

Could it be as old as the 1950s?

We have 6 of those at my parent's cottage Anti, and they are old - at least as old as 1940s, I think.

And we use them because they're fun!!! Only the lucky ones get one of the 6 corn dishes. The rest have their corn on the cob sliding around their plates getting butter on everything else, and everything else on their corn.

YES!! SO GLAD TO HEAR! Thanks, Book. :joyful::joyful::kiss:
I felt someone here would have handled them before.
I believe they are likely 1940s or earlier too.

I LOVE the idea of a cob hot-tubbing in this corn dish!
Corn is such a space taker on a dinner plate.

Thank you all for responding, please remind me who else is a glassie here? I'm loving it, and now curious to find the manufacturer. It's a substantial size at 10-5/8" long (thank you Peggy for the link with the info so I don't have to get up and measure it.)

I love that it's sectioned, like an ear of corn, so the corn doesn't slip. If only I could have found the other 7 at that estate sale!! Alas!! I did search!! :hungry:

@TallCakes, would you happen to have seen this lovely cob dish before? :shame:

I'd vote for the 5 & dime theory, and likely not identifiable unless someone happens upon some original packaging
