Hi, just picked up a ginger jar, it has this mark on the bottom, I don’t actually think it is an antique but could anyone let me know what mark this is?

    Thanks.

A good resource for marks on Asian pottery is www.gotheborg.com. Off the top of my head I'd say this looks like a very modern Chinese mark. Most times seeing the item itself Is more helpful than seeing the mark In helping to ID when and where it is from.

Look at Qianlong Nian Zhi on the gotheborg page (click on Chinese marks on the left). The mark needs to go about a quarter counter clockwise.
