It's interesting, so far of those I've looked at, if they say "Tode Bros" the arrow points down. There are many that are being attributed to them that don't say "Tode Bros" just have a TB logo and those all seem to point up.

Crocker Farm has three that they say are Tode Bros, two named with the arrow down and one without the name with arrow up so it would appear they are the same company as they know their stuff.

"Lot of Three Tode Bros., Bowery, NY Stoneware Jars, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, two salt-glazed jars impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising, "TODE BROS / 272 BOWERY / NEW YORK" along with the initials "TB" within an arrow on underside, along with a Bristol-slip-glazed jar impressed "TB" within an arrow. One salt-glazed a small rim chip and other minor rim wear. All in otherwise excellent condition. H (of smallest) 4 1/4"."

Interesting that the ones posted are more of a beige color and this one is more oyster color.

If you note in the Crocker Farms description, the plain one is Bristol-slip-glazed so before firing it would have been dipped in a white slip to make it light colored. Bristol can look rather white or other light color.
