Featured Is this Vanity Set of any value?

I inherited some items with my house and have no idea if the furniture of any value. This Vanity Set seems to be quite nice and delicate. One of the drawers has a label "Made in Grand Rapids".

Any help is appreciated!

That is a really pretty dresser.
Value is dependent on what part of US you are in.

In Northern CA, I would put a $350 tag on it. In a large populated city, you might do better.

Personally, I would keep it.

It's done in a 1930s style, but it might be later. What do the drawer joints look like? Dovetails?

Nice piece and Imperial is good quality furniture. I do think circa 1930. Walnut with walnut burl veneer accents. There seems to be a resurgence in vanities. Even just a couple years ago, you could hardly give them away. Here in my semi-rural Midwest location, they sell best painted but that is too nice to paint. I think that $350.00 estimate is about right or perhaps just a tad high for here in the Midwest.

 

Was that picture of the drawer there to begin with?

Is anyone else having problems with pictures loading?
I only saw the first 4 pictures and the picture of the label when I looked the first time around. Now I am seeing the one of the drawer and underside.

 

It wasn't there for me the first time around, either.

 

I have that happen too and wonder if the poster came back and added in.

Thanks I feel better. I was beginning to worry I had problems with my computer or even possibly my brain. No reply necessary about the brain, there is still a remnant in there somewhere.

And, yes, apart from some minor issues the dresser is in a very good condition.
Now I need to find someone in my area (Seattle) who would want to have it.
