The Murashido technique achieved by dipping the hot bronze in oil immediately after firing and then smoking with rice straw, was developed in the early 1900's but I guess it is still made today. For some reason I think this vase in not old bit I could be wrong.
Maybe if someone can help with the mark we can know better?
    Thanks
