    Hi folks

i bought this in my friends house clearance shop for a fiver, and thought that was quite a good deal, but seems quite alot of them on line for quite cheap, wondering if they are repros,

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233638035850

as i see you can still buy them brand new

mine seems genuinely old, but not sure how old.

whats odd about mine is the thickness, and looks to have been something that opened up at some time, and looks to have been glued shut?

wonder if it was glued because it no longer shut properly ?

    any thoughts appreciated

Some things never opened and were just hollow. Is there a visible hinge anywhere?

no, no visible hinge evey, thought it might be the type where the top just pops off.

That looks somewhat like the Shriner's scimitar underneath, but are an axe and a thermometer Masonic?

I'm retired. I'm done. I was dragging it out and then last Thursday I just walked away and left the office to my staff.
