Our 1900 Morgan Dollar has a cut-out silhouette of Lady Liberty. This "craft" is new to us. Anyone know if this type of thing has value to a collector. It is kind of neat. Love to hear whatever you might know about it. DSCN2175.JPG DSCN2176.JPG DSCN2177.JPG

I'd put a piece of rattail on it and wear it as a pendant. The coin "guys" would throw their hands up in horror.

Usually the fields are cut out leaving the details - and used as a pendant.

Yours looks like someone wanted the Morgan head to make something out of leaving the scraps??? - I would imagine only worth the weight of 90% silver/ 10% copper, but on eBay you never know when people will bid items up beyond melt value..........

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I thought it was still a No-No to still do that....defacing American coinage...... although I have to say, what @Rayo56 posted is Pretty Nicely Done!!!!

    No - not illegal -

"United States law allows for people to use coins for jewelry or other purposes as long as there is no attempt to use them as legal tender currency (18 U.S.C. § 331)"
