    Hello,

Any and all thoughts are much appreciated! I have 6 of these Drexel cane back dining chairs dated 1970, and I'm having trouble figuring out what style they are.

Hello Amanda, welcome to the forum.
Your chairs have Gothic style decorations, but others know more about American furniture.

Yes, there's a quatrefoil at the top, and one could even call it "mid-century Romanesque" or "mid-century Gothic." However, that may be trying too hard. :) I think at the time that lots of folks just threw it into the "French Provincial" category for good or ill, which was rarely defined except as "fancy."

This is very interesting, thank you!

I am seeing more Spanish revival in this but see how it could fit in any of the decorating schemes mentioned. Might have to paint or strip them to see them fitting with French provincial.

I just call it 1970s Dining Room.(LOL) It looks to be in good shape, and Drexel made good quality pieces, so if I were you I'd go right ahead and use them.

Where I live dining room sets don't sell for much, if they sell at all.
