I sent some photos to a firm in Denmark who said they would help people dating Royal Copenhagen. A big firm with 100's of items for sale. This is the answer "Sorry we do not have any information about the cat of yours -so we cannot help you with further details. Have a nice day Lone Risager Thirkelsen"Photos of "cat to follow. Yes "cat" The mark on the base is DANMARK with an A not an E.

Say it. Thank you. I decided to get it out and research it again. I have never managed to find another. Mine is the same colour, but I take the asking price with a pinch of salt. The expert has a large site, in Denmark, with many pieces. He invites queries from people hoping to find answers about their pieces. I did not expect that answer. I believe mine is from the 1890's. I did not expect a valuation, or want one. I just wanted to find out the rarity.

Yes, but for some reason or other, probably for other markets, they changed the spelling to Denmark. It is nice to see the original and correct spelling on.
