TERRA COTTA LADY w/PLANTER? ON HEAD

    Found this thrift store hunting! Cool piece but I've never seen anything like it before - nor can I find another example.
    What is it? - Is that a planter on her head or a bird bath?
    What is the candle holder? in her hands for?

    I've never seen one either, but that pot on her head is way to deep for a bird bath. ;)

    A plant stand with a candle holder? Here in Miami some of the Cuban households have saints with candles in a glass case on their front yard - is it religious?

    Not any religious connection that I know of -but I suppose it could have one. Are there candle remnants in there?

    It looks Mexican to me, with those flower shapes, doves and cutout motifs in her skirt. I think both the pots on her head and in her hands are planters.
    You could put a light in the base.
