Featured What does 10kdp stand for? I can’t find any reference to it

Hi guys,

I think 10KDP is what is see. It’s not testing for solid gold but I think the top part is actual 10k. I just noticed a seam and if I test the top portion only, it stays with 10k acid. Also just noticed that the top maybe reads M 1/5??

Just wondering what it stands for.

Saw some posts saying it means Double Plate. Seems to have a decent value as a collectible, over whatever gold content it might have.

I hadn't seen DP either, but anything with a / near it I just assume is not solid.

I had never seen that one either! Corvette stuff does well. I used to work a lot of random events. One time I worked at an American Le Mans race. My actual job though was directing and greeting Corvettes into the Corvette owners parking area and lounge area. It was run by Chevrolet as a thank you to their loyal Corvette buyers. They like their vintage corvette swag!
