Featured Wow! Did you all see the Vintage Pyrex on eBay for $2751?

I was watching a Pyrex casserole listed as rare and promotional. It closed at $2,751!!! Not an especially attractive piece either. I wonder if the buyer will pay, they don't always when things go this high.

Search the bay for - RARE Promotional Casserole - in completed listings to see it if you're interested. Here's the link (but I know that not everyone likes links):

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

    Good glory!
I would walk right by that any day... I wouldn't buy it for a dollar! Well, NOW I would...

When I first came across it, it was at $890 with 2 days to go. I thought it was at the Stupid Money price then! So how does one know what Pyrex is rare and promotional? Does it say promotional on the bottom, LOL! I guess you have to have a deep knowledge of Pyrex.

    And no lid

I have never seen the appeal Pyrex has. We have a set of mixing bowls, and they are just that, Mixing bowls.

Probably one set of a couple billion in existance (Maybe I exagerated a tad)

I don't know either what make some of the Pyrex piece so pricy
, but the 'Lucky In Love' is another desirable pattern.

Neat to see, but I'm still confused. Was this particular design only available as a "promotion" from Pyrex or what? I was expecting some kind of advertising on it, which there clearly isn't.

And Carl's links didn't work for some reason, so help me out here!

    Thanks, Carl, those worked!

So these were designs only available for a brief time in conjunction with a "promotion." I guess you have to be a Pyrex fanatic to even realize there was such a thing. ;)

Don, I can see why Lucky in Love is popular because at least it's pretty. CRS, thanks for the links! I'm going to study the patterns so that when I see them, I will buy them cheap and sell them not cheap. LOL, I have a bad case of CRS too. I'll never remember all those patterns.

I just put photos from the website on my phone so I can do a quick check when I'm out. Now if I can just remember that I did that.;)
