    Went hunting for silk thread in my sewing box that has some old threads from my grandmother and who knows where else. Thought I may find some silk to judge what thickness I need. Found silk but no size on the card so binned that idea. Did however find cards of thread for mending my nylon stockings :hilarious: and this little gem.

    I have one and within a couple of weeks it paid for itself. Look at all the pieces you have posted in the last 30 days that needed to be tested :)

    I don’t come out of my dark closet very often as I get peace in there.
    I will share my results with you all.I know you will be here to wipe away the tears of disappointment when I find out some highly prized gem is junk :hilarious:

    I’ve just bought this one. For me eyewateringly expensive but I’ve read lots of reviews and the presidium ones seem the best. I looked for a better deal but couldn’t find much better and wanted to buy from a reputable UK supplier

    I liked this one as you can tell it what colour your gem is to cut down your choices. The Quicktest site seems to have pretty balanced reviews that I found helpful.
