Featured Age of this Chinese Food/Wine pot ?

Some of the pieces I'd still love having,but at this age,i'd sell them but for 10 times more than i did a decade or two ago !
Selling them though kept the mortgage payments regular,fixed the car and even kept our precious 'fur babies' (cats) alive for another 5 or 6 years....so all in all-worth every penny.

When all's said an' done, it's just grist for th' mill, Bosko. We really don't 'own' any of it. There was a small antique/junque mall on Hood Canal a few years back called The Resting Place. I thought it was a remarkably appropriate appellation for such goods.

 

Well said mate. As I mentioned before in this grimoire,there used to be a place in Petaluma,CA called-'Dead People's Stuff'....alas that business seems defunct-to have died and there is nought but a dead link for it
T'only one now manifests in the wilds of Oklahoma City.

 

I've seen a few of these, though larger, in some shops. The ones I've seen are very attractive but I'm fairly certain they're newer, last 25 years or so, but made to look older.

 

Thanks for the feedback Ascot.You know I've seen so many of these Martaban storage jars in the last 40 years don't know why I've never picked up one or two.
Seen all shapes, sizes and prices-why didn't I get one,who the hell knows ?
Many are beautiful-amazing what we've all walked by and barely saw in our searches.
