Featured rings & mixed things

hi folks

a few bits & pieces i have floating round that i was hoping to get some general info on

nothing too interesting

the amethyst ring has a mark i can't find
the amber ring just has an interesting design
not sure about the age of the enamel brooch
cross old ?
haven't a clue on the faience? beads
think the choker might be jadeite?, though the setting looks quite cheapo
think the 2 bottom ones i think are nephrite but in a gold plated setting

any thoughts or info on any would be a great help

 

I found an amber ring with a similar mark on the back of the outside band, (missed by the Charity Shop) I think it could be Polish.

 

Agreed, it’s Polish. I think the amethyst is a shopping channel. Brooch is twenties. The enamel one. Those beads need vinegar! Agree on nephrite, the pendant might not be plated. That cross looks old. Flemish?

Is it me, or does that pale green jade piece look like a guitar pick?

Jade guitar pick.. interesting thing to try at least once. I bet it would be cool on a lap steel.

 

cleans up a bit, so guessing silver, its quite thin though so can't take a rigorous cleaning

I don't think it is very old, maybe 1990s or so, and could have been made in Indonesia.

It does, but it is probably meant to be a betel leaf. Beautiful jade btw, pale celadon.

The amber is bonded, so made from bits and pieces in a bonding agent. Sometimes the bonding agent contains amber, sometimes not.

 

I have beads and cuff links made of composite amber. Restrung the beads myself and wear them.
