Featured German art nouve silver / goldplated jam spoon

Its a lovely german 800 hallmarked spoon. But i cant find the makers mar. Any idea?

 

Looks like the maker of the silver handle could be C. Well, from Pforzheim.

I am not sure the handle and the vermeil spoon part started life together. The lip at the bottom of the spoon is much wider than the handle, there is an unnatural overlap imo.
Both parts are beautiful though.

do you have a bit more info about C Well? I googled the nane but cant find any

 

I only found that it is a "Silberwarenfabrik", a silverware factory. Nothing else.

 

Two beautiful partners, but no match.

 

Maybe it's just me but I don't see an Art Nouveau design here

 

I think rococo revival is what they were aiming at.

 

Found a few pieces bearing the same mark identified as C. Well in Berlin, circa 1900, most hollow handled flatware - this one has a similar awkward join:

Aha! The seller claimed they are Art nouveau but they are actually rococo revival?

 

This one looks that way to me.

 

I never take a seller's word for it. If you do an ebay search for Art Nouveau you will find anything with a flower or woman are called art Nouveau and probably about 10% really are.

 

Different style, but roughly the same period.
Art Nouveau is more sought after, although Rococo Revival is a beautiful style as well.
