Maybe these are candle holders? Toothpick holders? Something holders? 3.5” tall x 3” wide x 2” deep. Blue carp, heavy glaze, no marks. Any info appreciated. F1A3920D-530D-4278-9197-8C23E18BC525.jpeg 69F2E89B-09CC-4ABA-9737-2DC91DDE1C6E.jpeg E5855A9A-3273-460A-A379-9EDB4948736F.jpeg

Blue dolphins. ;) Welcome, TreetopTom! They look more like toothpick than candle to me. Anything on the bottoms?

Just a seam - no marks.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    Maybe matching 'bud vases'????

Or match-holders/strikers? Several parts of the front surface are serrated/pebbly. Thanks.

I agree with Aquitaine - small decorative vases. Kind of a poor man's version of Old Paris style. Circa 1900 IMHO but tough to pin down further without a mark. Very cute.

Are the pebbly surfaces glazed? Sometimes they are left without glaze to provide a rougher surface for striking.

No, the entire piece is glazed, which made me initially discount the striker theory.
