Bronze Ground Squirrel

    Good evening, hope the weekend went well.
    I found this today at Milnerton Market. Cape Town. It is a nice heavy squirrel marked CC and 3/15.
    Wonder if it is a local piece, it does seem to resemble a ground squirrel and not the invasive European ones.

    Please send those back to us. Ours are rapidy losing ground (and trees) to the invasive American ones.:(

    But I agree, this is not one of ours. Very cute though.

    Send the European and SA squirrels here; the gray ones are pests. My local hawks enjoy feasting on them though, so they have their uses.
