Identify Chinese/Japanese pottery figurine

    Your figurine represents Daikokuten, the Japanese God of wealth.

    Thank you for your replies, so pleased you have identified it as the god of wealth, I have a pair of them and would love to know how I can identify the imprinted marks, had a look online but so many any haven’t found them yet

    First character seems to be 'good', so possibly just 'good wealth'

    It is Chinese calligraphy. Reads "good presence "
    I think this little guy is a Chinese mudman.

    If so, he was probably made for the Japanese market. But don't mudmen have an open base?
