Nice! I can't seem to score gold here any more, so it's nice to see someone else do it.

The nightstand was from a Goodwill, believe it or not. I'm working on restoring it this weekend.
I'll post pics when I'm finished.

The other pieces are all from a small thrift store. I have had great luck there in the past, and this trip did not disappoint!
It's always thrilling to find gold:woot:

I'm always surprised when anything good is found in a Goodwill at this point. OTOH it was damaged. Only the small thrifts are worth the effort.

Had a nice house call this week...

Assorted silver pieces (I love the round box with the puffy power puff!)

And a few nice jools... a cameo set in 14k with a diamond, 9k Art Nouveau locket with small diamonds, a 14k ring with an oval amethyst and a 14k ring with 2 heart shaped moonstones and a small diamond.

The purple amethyst ring looks like my grandmother's engagement ring from 1919. Hers was 18k with two platinum butterflies on the ends, but the main stone and two little diamonds were done the same way. The little hearts is a toi et moi design.

The cameo is a nice one, typical of the 1930s. When the figure itself has jewellery added to it, it is said to be en habillé.

I figured it was early 20th century, thanks Bronwen :). It's the first en habillé I've had, it's a good size diamond.

Sounds like what I have but it's definitely 14k:

Beautiful....unfortunately, around here, that cameo would be pried out of its setting, gold scrapped, and diamond removed. The ring is stunning, that setting!

Just some little things....went thrifting, I had clothing donations. Getting rid of most retirement clothing, bought new clothes 75% off plus had a 15% coupon for some.

The first thrift had 25% off the entire store, so these were $3.75 each, first two glass, third one is rock crystal.

This thrift had 50% off of jewelry. The larger FW pearl strand was $3, the small pearls are costume but excellent for doll use. I am loving the goofy turkey pin. Lumii_20250217_135034353.jpg
I had a 20% off coupon for these.

Bracelet was $10, blue topaz, marcasite, 925. The foxy fox is a pendant and not going anywhere.
The first ring is 925 CZ, the snake ring is czs.

All 925 but the hearts with FW pearl dangles, all.$3 less 20%. Lever backs are sapphire.

And some vintage cookbooks. My one thrift in the northern direction raised the price of these to $1 each, used to be 10 cents each. My southern thrifts still sell them cheap, 10 cents each, but they just gave me The Lobster House and Magic Bullet ones.

Lastly, I tried this platinum cushion cut sapphire diamond ring on. Want to guess the price? I did not buy it. ;)
