Ok this one is calling out @Any Jewelry ‘et al…

I got this, I know what this is  but do I have it right, “Varjapani”? I see so many online in ebay but next to none quite looking like this if not none. Please enlighten me :) who this might be and why is he surrounded by animals in one area then people in another. Does this tell a story I can read up on or basically symbolic.

    thanks as always

Nice thangka. The back will tell us if it is Tibetan or Nepali or one of the other Himalayan regions.

It is a depiction of the Buddha himself in various stages and mudras (hand gestures), not the Vajrapani Boddhisattva. There are also some Buddhist saints. Thangkas like this tell the life story of the Buddha.

Thank you, the first link was very informative, I appreciate.
The second link required me to join, when I initiated by creating a password and supplying my email it then wanted a lot of information. :hungover: When it got to what type of blood am I, I just bailed out. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

…and a big thank you, you :hilarious::) this will help me list it properly. Funny, the back hasn’t said a thing to me yet. ;)
what should I be looking for?

No problem. I was joking about my blood type, but not about a bunch of other questions. Your help was good *thumbs-up*

Oops, I just saw that you added the back.:shame: It is not Nepali, so one of the others.
It could also have been made in Dharamsala or somewhere else in the Tibetan diaspora.
