Just watched a little video from the Victoria and Albert museum (which I spent too little time in when I was there in 2008!) about some shipwrecked objects and some contemporary objects made with finds. It's less than 15 minutes long and some nice gold and jewelry. I liked the micro-mosaic pieces very much.

Looks like a lot of fun, but will not play for me.

Plays fine for me hmm. If YouTube usually works fine for you it's under "vamuseum" 's official channel and was an upload from 2 months ago...first one listed under their "Unboxing" category.

I watch the V&A channel's offerings pretty regularly. They produce a lot of quality and interesting videos.

Stunning pieces kent, thank you for posting the video.
(I'll take the Roman snake armlets and the micromosaic ewers jewellery set.:playful:)

As an aside, I was surprised to hear her speak with vocal fry (very old lady creaking sound at the end of sentences), I thought that fad had passed. I don't hear it much here in NL anymore.

Yes, those ewer earrings were fantastic. Had to google vocal fry. I usually hear that from men mostly who signal a pause in speaking while they put together their next thought.

She also had a head movement going on almost constantly that I found distracting. I imagine she didn't get much in the way of instruction/direction in doing on-camera presentations, so did well, all in all.

They seem to use their real curatorial staff instead of dedicated social media presenters. I have to say I prefer it because I like the genuine enthusiasm from the real staff/experts, but it is a mixed bag lol.
