Featured Napkin ring- information

Hi all,I didn’t buy this beautiful napkin ring.I haven’t seen one like this before. Is it perhaps French and maybe 1st half of the 19th century (just my guess) Not sure why I didn’t buy it. Thanks

I got nuttin'. But it looks well-used! Did you try google lens?

 

I did and it gave me a lot of beautiful objects, but nothing useful.
They usually give slightly different results in different parts of the world though.

 

Thanks for the reply and for giving it a go. I did try google lens,but got basically the same results as AJ (some beautiful and interesting other things but nothing really helpful)

 

Appreciate you trying AJ,maybe it’s not a napkin ring at all. I also couldn’t find any similar

 

I considered that too.
Maybe it held a glass liner, but how would it stay on a liner, there is no base.

 

I've got nothing either but it's very worn and c scrolls, are you sure it a napkin ring? I think it's old and European.

It’s a pretty and interesting little thing (so I bought it) Also looks really rather old. I do think it’s a antique napkin ring (but still couldn’t find similar,but what else can it be) It stands just over 4cm tall and is about 3,6cm wide.Maybe it once had a little monogram.

Only a suggestion. I don't collect bottles or napkin rings so I'm no expert.
