I just looked but can only find another Anne Bullen, who couldn't have painted this in 2014, because she died in 1963.

yeah, i can't believe that there is no artist information at all online, but that wouldn't have stopped me anyway, no way :)

I don’t know much about art but I don’t like it. Looks like high school student art to me. The body proportions looks
odd to me (the big feet makes me think of Hobbit feet :)) But it’s yours and you really like it so that’s cool and that’s all that matters.

The art technique is called foreshortening and it's very hard to achieve. Here's an example by Manet.

very interesting thanks Deb, never heard of that before, but can just see exactly what you mean by the comparison

did think it must have been intentional ;)

Nice painting Charlie. Well I'm going on the assumption that it is a pastel painting,so maybe a bit of a long shot but think your artist might just be Annie Butler, Scottish artist of Annie's Art House ,Kirkcudbright ,Dumfries.Scotland.

    It looks acrylic to me.
Oil has more depth of colour, and because it dries slowly you can work it for longer. With acrylic you can achieve a special brightness in the colour. Plus it dries much quicker than oil, which can be an advantage in some situations.
