My parents found this at a yard sale, I was wondering if anybody could comment on potential value or any other insight.

card that was in the trunk:

bottom left says "Bangor," can't make out the rest

The bottom is also lined with newspapers from 1979 but I didn't get a picture of those (I can't imagine they're worth much).

    Thanks for looking!

"The Eyrie" was the summer home of John D. Rockfeller, Jr. in Seal Harbor, ME. It was originally built in 1897 as a "half-timbered house." After Rockerfeller bought the house, he had it remodeled in 1914 into 100 room Tudor mansion.

I haven't a clue if it has any value. I haven't been able to track down a Dr. James D. clements from that time period.

A cool bit of info anyway! I could get a better shot of that tag if it would help.

Should look for Clement as well. That s may be the possessive form, which would be grammatically correct.

Indeed. It even has an apostrophe before the "s".

Some more trivia of no use in the value of the invitation. The Dr. and Mrs. James D. Clements were probably Dr. James Donald (1888-1948) and Charlotte Maria (1888-1988) Clements of Bangor, ME. Dr. James was a practicing physician in Bangor in 1919. The Dr. James' great grandfather was the 1st settler/founder of Seal Harbor, Mount Desert, ME. The Clements was an important family in that corner of the world. The doctor, his mrs., and at least one of their children are buried in Seal Harbor Cemetery, Mount Desert, Maine.

Maine: A History, vol. 4 by Hatch, page 267,
Left column, 1st paragraph talks about Amos, father of James D., grandfather was the founder of Seal Harbor.
Right column, is the mention of Dr. James D. Clements a physician in Bangor.

Seal Harbor Cemetery, scroll down to Clements:

Scroll down to page 11, "First Roads," 2nd paragraph:
