I was searching for this artist and came across this forum. I have a copy of the john constable haywain
with the same signature dated 1911. The signature on this painting is similar to the signature posted in this forum. I would appreciate any feedback if someone was able to obtain info on this artist.

Did anyone ever find out who this is? I have a painting with the same signature and have hit a dead end on my research.

Posting a picture of what you have is a better method than just saying you have a painting with the same signature. ;)

Not sure if this is still an active thread, but I believe I have another one of this artist's paintings. I live in New York, and found it outside of someone's apartment. The signature reads A. McKeown, and the back is signed with a New York Address.

It's been heavily damaged, and I've been looking into how to repair it.

Living in NY means you're close to a great many resources for restoration, but they may be costly for proper work. The conservationist will likely add a canvas (or linen) patch to the holes with a glue and then fill in with conservation paints. You can find many videos on yt to see how professionals work. I recommend Baumgarter Restoration's channel.

If you want to consult a conservationist, you can search for ones near you at the American Institute for Conservation here.
