fi317.jpg Does anybody have any idea who made this set? It is comming up for auction next week and I like it, but am stumped by whoi may have made it. I checked Fenton, and their handles are different. Saw some of the Tumblers on eBay, but no information there. I have no furthur info. then the pic. Thanks in advance!

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

I don't have an answer; I have another question!
The only vessel I've seen with a little handle on the base, like these, was about three inches tall. Actually, I have a set of six, clear glass, maybe EAPG. They were described to me as liqueur glasses and my ol' man recalls seeing his dad drink Galliano with his homies in the 1960s. No idea if they're older than that. Anywayyyyyyyyyyy... I'm guessing your tumblers are 6 inches or more. Is there a name for that sort of tumbler or handle... does it have any particular significance?

Edit - they're gorgeous Fenton or not... good luck!

This is from Heacock's "First Twenty-Five Years" Fenton book. The caption says:

"[FIG 489 - 490] Fenton #222 plain Topaz colored iced tea set with base and casters in Royal Blue, circa 1922."

Does casters = coasters? I dunno. The pitcher in the auction photo looks a little more squat to me, and obviously the feet and bases are different. I don't know if those are normal variations, or maybe it's a jug and caster/coaster from a different set but same color scheme.

LOL - sniped by Don. I forgot to check the stretch glass site. That would have been much easier.

Gila.....I do not know if there is another name for them besides Handled Liqueur glasses. I'm betting yours are from the 20's or 30's. Not EAPG. it looks like they have a wheel cut design on them.
