Four leg cup1.jpg Four leg cup2.jpg Four Leg Cup 3.jpg Hi, can anyone help identify this miniature unmarked four legged teacup and saucer. I have boxes of stuff from my Mother In Law's house and trying to work out what is worth putting for sale. Thanks. Another coming in a minute....

Any mark on the saucer base? Probably German, I think, and turn of the 20th c. Something for the masses. ;) Not great quality and not much value IMHO even though it is "antique."

No marks at all on base. Seem to have a lot of German stuff not worth much!

Is it a miniature or is it a demitasse cup? You don't give size. Probably not of huge value, but there are collectors for everything, including miniatures & demitasses.

I am a novice, so no idea whether demitasse or miniature. The saucer is about 11cm in diameter, the cup just under 5 cm in height.

    Are Demitasse Cups Miniatures?
There is a certain criterion for a demitasse to be considered a demitasse and not a miniature or a child’s tea set. Although demitasse cups are ideal for little hands, a demitasse cup is half of a regular cup. The typical teacup measures 3-4 inches in diameter depending on the shape and a demitasse would be approximately half of that or 2.5 inches by 2. 5 inches. The saucer is typically in the vicinity of 4 inches in diameter.

Noticed in your second listing that the saucer is about 4 inches in diameter, so that one looks to be a demitasse.
