I thought this was interesting. The face, chest and abdomen are all actually hollowed out.

    8" tall, solid clay

There's an AW on the bottom, maybe WA... I known it's a long shot but maybe someone recognizes the initials?

Found at the large vintage show in Portland Oregon.

One last one, in dramatic lighting...

    Thank you!

    1959? Could it be NA?
There is certainly something evocative about her, Potts...Thanks!

1959--- you might be right! I hadn't noticed that. Thanks whit.

NA? It doesn't fit any 'tradition' that I'm aware of, but of course that doesn't exclude anyone as the possible maker of this.

It’s a bit weird but interesting that the mid section also sort of looks like a face.

Yeah-- I hadn't noticed that until I saw it in the pics here. Weird.

not just a face, but that of a monkey :woot:

i've had a ruddy good look about (even went old school with search terms) but nada

i'd definitely put it in the artists sculpture category though

It looks a little 'chimp,' doesn't it

You, on the other hand, are a 'champ.' Thanks for the effort!
