    From two different thrift stores.
    14k gold hoops for $4.00

    18" akoya pearls (7mm) with 14k clasp.
I went crazy and coughed up $30.
But considering pearls like this at retail are at least $500 new, I thought $30 was a great deal

Sure beats retail. I turned down a gold ring the other day; they had metal weight on it.(LOL) If you love the pearls, who wouldn't, and plan to wear them you got a steal.

Oh yes, I will absolutely wear both the pearls and the hoop earrings. Of course I have numerous other pearl strands, but one more won't hurt my collection!
Pearl strands aren't especially popular these days, but I don't care. I usually wear pearls with a scoop neck shirt and Levi's denim jacket.

It's all in how you do the whole look! You can definitely wear them and make them look great.

Book is actually from 1872 with what appears to be a leather binding. It's also dedicated to Alfred Tennyson! 20250510_145836.jpg
