I was curious about the age of this ring. At first I thought it was newer, but now I’m not so sure. There are no markings on the ring. The stone I think is amethyst and appears stone like and not glass. It has fissures not bubbles.

    Thanks!! IMG_6703-compressed.jpeg IMG_6700-compressed.jpeg IMG_6701-compressed.jpeg

It looks fairly recent to me. Just don't ask me where it came from.

Ha! I pretty much ignore my birthday. But thank you so much!
I was thinking around the 70’s, but then a friend thought it might be older. But my friend is not into jewelry so….. I just thought I would ask you guys.

A very nice Brutalist ring, silver and amethyst. It looks 1970s to me too.
And it looks like sterling silver, made in a country where silver isn't marked, or wasn't marked at the time. Prime suspect is the US.;)

Looks like an one of a kind artisan ring. Hard to pin down the exact date on something like that, but I agree post 1970s is likely. I think I see the fissures in it too. Very nice ring!

I think it's 70s redux. A classic 70s ring would have had sharper lines.

Not European and Israeli Brutalist. They are very tactile.

I have a likely Israeli one sitting next to me. It's blobbier, for certain. I think brutalist may be the wrong term for OP's ring, at least 70s brutalist. It looks off.

Gotta say, I saw similar lost wax cast silver jewelry in the '70s, offered at pretty much every art fair, flea market, head shop, rock festival, etc.

I’m Yes. It was very hard for me to pin point. I thought brutalist, but as Komo said “not with that flower.”

Very well could have come from a featival, or maybe artisan.

    Thanks for all the replies.

    And the birthday well wishes.
