I found this today hunting at my local thrift store. I can't see a signature but my first thought was Dali, Picasso - or "the silent scream" inspired!
It has a 1979 framing date on the back - and I think the customer's name.
Does anyone know who did this? Or is it just decorative?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

NO idea, but you COULD carefully take it out of the frame to see if it IS signed?????

I am saying I think it's a place to check.

Plus, I think it's a strong possibility it's a pretty early work of Ms Morton.:woot:

It says it was framed for her, but it could be by another artist.

I totally-otally get that. For 100% assurances, framing info means pretty much zero.

    Always and forever.

But I looked at her work.

And I think journey should ask.

According to her CV, she was studying for a BFA at Manhattanville College in 1979. Which means if hers, a student work. As above. No harm asking.

It's okay. I understand that her current work is unlike this piece.

But there is also something very much "like", I think.

As others have said, no harm in asking. ;)

I could certainly see the artist's work evolving in this way.
