I bought this completely out of FOMO and intrigue. What the fudge can it be. I can't find anything like it online. It looks like something from The Mad Hatter's tea party. The only potential clue is the writing on the side 'les builles mortes' perhaps?

Les feuilles mortes - dead leaves. If Google is right, it's a reference to the original French version of Autumn Leaves (Yves Montand). I'm not sure how that makes sense with little purple flowers, but there's no question of what it says.

Ah thanks. Mystery solved. Maybe it's a play on words because you put dead tea leaves in it? Autumn leaves has now become a jazz standard and possibly where Gary Moore got his influence for still got the blues IMO. My guitar tutor gave me the standard chords to learn maybe 15 years ago but I completely forgot the French name of it. I'd never heard the Yves Montand version of it until now.

title aside (which is confusing given translation)

it looks like a one off craft show/amateur painted or overpainted blank type

don't think you'll find another one or even close

can see someone wanting it though ;)

Fear of missing out Charles. You buy something just in case it's worth something. You're probably right about it being a one off. I can't even find another spout the same.

Pssst wanna buy a weird teapot?

I prefer Yves Montand, both the original version and the man.:)
(I can see what Marilyn Monroe saw in him.;))
