I never buy this sort of thing but this piece caught my eye at a recent sale. It's 12" tall and weighs around 3 pounds. I can't make out the signature. Thanks in advance! IMG_7874-Photoroom.jpg IMG_7887-Photoroom.jpg IMG_7883-Photoroom.jpg

What’s this, I wonder? Looks like scratching off a price revealed some paper with words on it, but I can’t read them:

Is it plaster over wood? From the back it sort of looks like that.

It is a sticker but, unfortunately, its rubbed off too much to tell what it says.

No, I don't think its wood underneath.

    I read ... Leraon(g) or (y) or (s) or (x)

None of these come up with anything relative in a search.

Looks to be a well done art nouveau piece. Can’t help with the signature sorry.

A classic Art Nouveau girl. Of the period imo.

    Leraoux/Leraous?

    And an E/F as initial?

It looks like it says Leraoux with a line underneath. I'm not seeing any initials before that.

Looks like an F in this pic, but it might just be a lighting effect.
