Hi everyone, my name is Adam and this is my first post here. I picked up an 18ct gold and platinum diamond ring. It has a few stamps, being:

    B.K.T
    Crown + 18
Assay office that is difficult to make out
h with both feet flicked forward
    Plat
    AX26

I have attached some images. I found it difficult to date the ring and could not find out what AX26 means, assuming it might be some kind of reference number.

    Thanks,
    Adam.

Hello, @Adambd13, and welcome! I've taken the liberty of reposting your photographs as Full Image instead of Thumbnail so they're easier for everyone to see. You'll want to remember to do that in the future. (And not to worry. All new members do the exact same thing in their first post!)

    Beautiful ring, Adam.
The crown is for gold, 18 is 18 carat. It has the London leopard head assay mark, date 1957.

Neither do I. Apparently it says 'PLAT' somewhere, but I don't know where.

It may be white gold instead; I don't see one either.

    I see an "h", which would be 1963. (A "b" would be 1957.)

I read a b, but you are right, it is an h.:)

All I know is that I think it’s extremely attractive, and I don’t even like diamonds all that much.
