Hi all, a friend picked up this sweet iridescent piece this at the local thrift and asked me what I think. I tried Google lens but got nothing close enough to help.

It measures 4-1/4" tall, 2-3/4" across the top and 2-1/4" across the bottom. There is a "13" marked on the bottom. Do you think it may have had a top of some kind and the 13 was keyed to the top that fit?

Can anyone point me in a direction for research please? Any help will be very much appreciated :)

What a beautiful thing. My first thought was Steuben Glass Verre De Soie 1905-1930's. I could only find this shape (so far), in a 1922 catalog but it was a much larger 9.5 inch covered jar without the fabulous design.
What does the inside look like and it the glass semi-transparent?

I will get a photo of the inside layer today. It is clear glass, quite thin, with a white iridescent finish so it is translucent.

Thanks everyone for taking a look

Nice! Nothing to add. Could very well be European.

Sorry this took so long, here is the inside. The bright spot in the middle is from the light directly overhead.

I was out this morning and stopped in an antique store, I saw this vase. Yes it's different but when I thought it had a top this is what I was thinking of:

I looked at Poschinger and didn't see anything close. A lot of white iridescent glass but not with the decoration on this piece :(

Hi Marie, I've looked through all of my Steuben books, and all my art nouveau glass books, and have yet to find this design. 1910 - 1930 would be my best guess.
    A really beautifully done piece.

Thank you so much for looking, I was thinking 1910-30 also :)
    I looked at this site:
    http://www.kralik-glass.com/frametemplate.html
checked all the makers including Kralik and couldn't find anything comparable :(

But thank you @TallCakes for finding that, I will start a Worthpoint help thread to see what it sold for. I'm not agreeing with their saying it's Art Deco.
