    They may be intended to represent dogs of Foo or temple lions.

    There was a very similar one posted few days ago-search Chinese seal. I think yours could be same as that one, export era seal made of Shoushan stone

    These are blanks. No one ever had their name carved in. Intentionally maybe if sold as souvenirs.

    Foo dogs. I’d think much newer than Qing. Carving quality is pretty mediocre at best. You could buy them in China and have you name carved into them there. You can probably buy them in some shops here that will do the same or online. Plenty do have typical Chinese characters/symbols on them like a Shou. Plenty are blank too. I had one that said “Brenda” or some similar name once. The middle to low quality 20th century examples have very little value. Despite that I grab them if cheap. They are still pretty cool.

    yeah i'm not sure jd, quality aside (and they vary) late 19th, early 20th seems about right for them.......could be wrong of course, but thats the impression i get with them

    Brenda eh ?, :wacky::D

    Could be for sure. I just glanced quickly at pics. You’ve got them in hand and can make a better assessment. If it wasn’t Brenda it was an equally sure fire white lady name. It was actually very well carved. I’m sure she dropped a relatively good amount on it. Hers had a rubber stamp inset into the stone now that I think about it.
