Lumii_20250801_164919746.jpg Am I a fabulous fake? I have plenty of them. No markings, stone appears to be glass. Didn't get hurt for $5 (price was lowered), fits beautifully, I haven't polished it. Thanks.

The stone is a copy of a type of shell called Alaska pearl, glacier pearl, etc. Fooled me for a second. It looks like an alpaca setting. It was never meant to fool anyone, just to be pretty.

Thanks! Still a good price for alpaca.

You won't know what metal it is until it's tested.

    Nice cuff, Marko, elegant shape.
Maybe green paua under a clear glass cab? Paua is a type of abalone from New Zealand with very deep colours.

Ditto. Older SW NA jewellery is often not marked. It looks like silver to me, so I would have it tested.
The yellowish discolouration could be gone after a bit of a polish. Alpacca isn't yellow btw.

I cleaned it today. I believe it's silver with paua shell. It will have to be tested, but it's not going anywhere. Thanks everyone.

Perfect, all it needed was a clean. It looks so much better now, and I agree, very likely silver.

I agree; the tarnish fooled me in a photo. Wouldn't have in person - the eyes lie, but fingers and nose don't.

It looked like junk until the polish, that's why I asked you guys. Alpaca was a contender!
