Those both look a bit daunting and the 90 degree turns certainly give you pause. I don't think I have driven either of them.

Edit: On having a look at a map, I have driven the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge. Just didn't know the name.

The Astoria bridge going over the Columbia river is part of Highway 101 that Goes from Mexico to Canada. Currently the longest truss bridge in the US.

Have driven most of Hwy. 101, from San Diego all the way into Oregon and parts in Washington. Think I left 101 to drive into Corvalis and on to Portland. I am sure I missed some glorious sections.

Changing the subject (sorta)... Has anyone ever flown into Madeira? Now that's sobering.

Looks like the runway on Rarotonga, Cook Islands. I was sure our plane was going to slide into the Pacific.

I have driven over the new not so new 7 mile bridge many times & many others. Although I do not like to drive to begin with, I am always a great passenger I am told!

This is the oldest bridge in California. I have been across it.

OMG, I'm seriously afraid of the photo, much less this bridge. It looks like a roller coaster.

This is the oldest still existing bridge in the Netherlands, the St Servaasbrug in Maastricht. I have been across it many times.
It was built in the 13th century to replace a Roman bridge that collapsed as a procession went over it, killing 400 people.:(

I'd seen that film before, very scary.:nailbiting:
Thankfully no procession with hundreds of people was on the bridge when it happened.
