Featured B Harding pastel

Just picked this up at the market. It's signed B Harding I think. Squiggly B. It appears to be a copy of a painting by Archibald Thorburn

I've found a similar painting online by B Harding. Very similar style but can't see the siggy.

lovely image...xcept for the head....
at first glance I couldn't decide if it was a turtle , or mouse or beaver......

 

Strange proportions non? The technique on the the bird's feathers seems fairly decent. The foliage is a bit naive though

 

Agree, nicely done. The pine tree isn't too bad either.
