Another grab from the market this morning. Looks like the gold embellishments are hand done. It's about 20cm tall. No obvious markings. I've found some similar things online attributed to bohemia although it has a Turkish feel to me

Bit early for a beer, even for me! Yes it's unusual isn't it. Completely clueless on its origin.

The shape certainly looks more Eastern -- whether Eastern Europe or the Middle East, I dunno. Yep, that glaze is stunning.

Thank you. Yes that gourd shape. Oh and I've noticed a small mark on the base. Looks like a letter E or W/M

could be way way off, but isn't there something greek looking about that middle section decoration, was my first thought as well but dismissed it

You gave me a good idea then. Just Google image searched the pattern on the midriff. First result was this. Got to be the same makers but no more information. It's a start though...

Yeah that repetitive pattern has a Greek key feel. Looks a bit like letter omega.

Think I've found the name of it. Hiding in plain sight on the foot rim.

Oh I thought you'd found another piece then. You've put a colour filter on it.
