Grabbed this at a flea market. Its definitely antique and it is 18k gold on the ends of the balls. The balls are glass or crystal? There's also no clasp so I have no idea how you'd get it on.... what is this?

Just slide it on, but you gotta have a thumb that'll cooperate lol.

Maybe rock crystal? Quartz? I can't tell if I'm looking at structures or abraded/dirty surfaces. I don't see bubbles though.

Beautiful, sweet an' simple...best part for me is the odd (9) ball-count, one of my fetishes. Thanks!

Jewellery components are often an odd number. It just looks better, whether around the wrist, neck, or on earrings, like these 18th century beauties (not mine):

    But don't you wish! DANG!

As to how to get the bracelet on, I just fold/squish my hands in and slide or roll a smaller bangle on. Only really tiny Asian bangles won't go on that way. (one of the benefits of Ehlers-Danloss syndrome) If you don't have "foldy" hands just send it my way! Oh yeah, Any already got dibs....

Not Pools of Light. These beads are drilled and are therefore not PoL. To be that, the beads would be undrilled orbs with solid bands of metal around them. They're also rock crystal, i.e. clear quartz. I've seen glass ones too and will allow those into the fold, but only because sometimes it's hard to tell the difference.

If the orbs have the banding, then they're PoL whether on a necklace, a bracelet or earrings. The solder points between the bands and the chain that links them often breaks, and some broken necklaces have been made into other things.

Alas, it wouldn't. The hole and wire through the beads affects the light in such a way that there is no magical 'pool of light' effect.
It is a gorgeous bracelet though.

This is a genuine 'pool of light' necklace:

With a genuine price attached too, doubtless. That's why no of us owns one.:eek::eek:
